North Channel Area Chamber of Commerce
Your Voice for Business!
Located in northeast Harris County (one of the most rapidly growing areas in Harris County), the North Channel area affords unique opportunities to business, industry and residents. Since 1977, the North Channel Area Chamber of Commerce has helped promote economic development and quality of life in the communities that make up the North Channel area. The mission of the Chamber has remained the same throughout its existence – the Chamber is committed to enhancing business growth, and finding solutions to ever-changing business and community issues.
The subdivisions, businesses, educational facilities, non-profit organizations, elected officials, government entities and individuals that compose the Chamber have invested in the future of the North Channel area and continue to work to ensure that prosperity continues.
The Chamber serves to support the business community and seek ways to maintain a healthy business climate. Our volunteers and staff assist newcomers in getting established, pair customers with businesses, and help coordinate the resources and efforts of all those concerned with community progress. The Chamber welcomes hundreds of visitors per year. Among these are those wanting tourist information; help with relocation, real estate, business and social service information; as well as data on jobs, schools and colleges.
The Chamber is an organization committed to showcasing the North Channel area as a great place to live and work. Membership holds the key to our success. Members of the Chamber have shown that they care about the community where they live and work. The North Channel Area Chamber represents 700-plus business representatives and individuals who believe that collectively they can accomplish more than what one could do individually.
The Chamber is not a government agency and does not receive tax dollars to cover the cost of operations. The Chamber is a non-profit business promotion organization that operates on membership dues and dollars generated from business-related programs and special events.
The Chamber’s officers and Board of Directors annually adopt a Plan of Work that is administered by Chamber staff and volunteers. One goal of the chamber is to show those who are not currently members the importance of the Chamber as a vehicle for making a positive impact on the community.
